Abenamar López Cisneros,

Therapist and visual artist from Mexico City. I have been living in Puerto Morelos for 7 years, where I settled and raised a family.

I have always been intrigued by healing through energy management. My quest to find a way to heal myself and then help others to heal themselves, led me to learn different healing techniques, such as energy transference through the laying on of hands, which I have been practicing for 28 years, and an extensive knowledge of ancient Mexican temazcal ceremonies, which I began 20 years ago working with women victims of violence.

In 2005 I completed a diploma in crystal therapy, a practice based on using the physical properties of stones and crystal quartz to heal the different bodies that make us up.

In 2006 I was welcomed by a family of mara’akames (healers) from the mountains of Jalisco, with whom I walked for 15 years, learning their worldview and teachings. This experience sensitized me and made me understand that everything and everyone is connected. In addition, I was invited to participate as a fire keeper in a “Vision Quest” ceremony with the Cherokee community of North Carolina.

Since then I have forged my own path as a therapist, dedicating myself to energy healing with quartz bowls, in and out of the water.

Therapy:

Cleansing and harmonization of the body’s energy centers with the help of quartz bowls in salt water. Includes cleansing with herbs and sahumerio, healing of physical, emotional and ancestral blockages.

I’m a Mexican Canadian who has been living off the grid in Puerto Morelos for the last 20 years. Like you, I love to travel. I’ve been to places as diverse as Papua New Guinea, Europe, Brazil, Saint Martin & all over Mexico. I have 2 kids and I am a widow to Antonio, the architect who gave life to Aldea Bek. For the last 15 years, I’ve worked assisting couples to achieve natural birth as a doula and health researcher. I even presented at TEDxCancun in 2015. Health maintenance and illness prevention are my twin passions. Since 2016 I assist people with their health challenges with a focus on creating healthy habits that lead to a long health span. I hope to meet interesting people who also like to travel and grow, making the world a smaller place to live.
