Luna, spanish for moon. In Mayan it is called Uj.
For the Mayans, the moon is very important and is often related to the goddess Ixchel.
We selected the name for this particular unit as, from the ceiling, in the unique bathroom, you can see the moon and the stars at night.
This is the most special bathroom on our property and we hope you enjoy it.
Feel free to use it with the curtain and the door open. The indoor-outdoor feel makes for a great sensual experience.
In Luna, you have your own private entrance, bathroom, and kitchenette.
We have taken the time to look for healthy cooking materials. All the pots are stainless steel.
We have also included a Teflon pan If you are used to cooking on it.
Please let us know if you need any other special equipment for your cooking needs. If it is possible for us, we will be happy to oblige.
We have 4 studio units in 1 spacious lot.
This means a big green area with local trees and plants to breathe and relax during your vacation.
Each unit has its designated outdoor area.
Luna has a very private space just outside the door.
You can choose to place the table and chairs outside, giving you more space in the room or inside for rainy days.
We ask that all guests respect the designated outdoor area of other units.
We are located 2 blocks south from the central town park and all the local restaurants, 1 block away from a big supermarket for groceries and 1 street off the beach on the quiet side of town: fantastic location (less touristy but still only 5 minutes away from the center of action).
All the units are clean, efficient and newly renovated.
My husband, as an architect, designed every detail to make it functional and cozy.
There are few places in Puerto with this much outdoor garden area to enjoy and that is what we wanted for every guest staying in Aldea Bek, to be able to enjoy nature as well as all the amenities we have to offer.
There is parking at the entrance of the property and there is a taxi station 100 meters away from the door.
We have lived in the vicinity since 2002 and love to share our town and the area with travelers, so we will be in contact with you every step of the way, we live fairly close to Aldea, so any inquiry you have just send us a message!
In Luna, you’ll have access to your private suite with all the amenities described below (including a private garden area) as well as the shared garden areas in the middle of the property.

We will provide all the information necessary about our exact location and how to get to our property.
We know traveling and airport schedules can be unpredictable sometimes, that is why we will provide all the instructions for check in and we will be there once you get there to provide with all the information you need.
Contactless check in can also be arranged if you prefer.
You can park comfortably at the entrance of our property outside our gate.
We do not provide private parking inside the property.
Aldea Bek – Luna includes one shift of full cleaning for guests that stay 14 nights or longer, in this shift your sheets and towels will be cleaned.
Sheets, towels and blankets are provided at check-in.
Guests manage their own personal laundry service (there are laundry shops super close).
Guests have to take out their own trash when needed, our blue cans are located just beside the gate.

You can book your stay online on our website, credit card payment, no commissions, easy!
Cash payments or Bank Transfers are also accepted. If the payment is in mexican pesos please ask about the current conversion rate.
Paypal payments have an extra 6% that will be added to the final rate of your stay.
For any online refund a 4 to 7% commission applies plus currency conversion differences between the date of reservation and the date the refund is being made.
Hello! My name is Miranda. I’m a Mexican Canadian who has been living off the grid in Puerto Morelos for the last 20 years. Like you, I love to travel. I've been to places as diverse as Papua New Guinea, Europe, Brazil, Saint Martin & all over Mexico. I have 2 kids and I am a widow to Antonio, the architect who gave life to Aldea Bek. For the last 15 years, I've worked assisting couples to achieve natural birth as a doula and health researcher. I even presented at TEDxCancun in 2015. Health maintenance and illness prevention are my twin passions. Since 2016 I assist people with their health challenges with a focus on creating healthy habits that lead to a long health span. I hope to meet interesting people who also like to travel and grow, making the world a smaller place to live.

A little hidden Oasis. Right on Main Street but at quieter end. Beach is quick 5 min walk. Restaurants 2 minutes and a large grocery with just about everything you could possibly need 3 minutes away. The room is a comfortable size with a nice cross breeze. The outside seating has a small water feature and lush plants. Loved the outdoor shower with screen facing a private corner of garden. The kitchen has everything you need for making a meal. Miranda is a fabulous attentive host, my second trip. Pricing is very reasonable for quality of accommodations. – Michele
For me, this is a perfect spot to stay while in Puerto Morelos. Simple, comfortable digs in a quiet part of town, it is walkable to everything. Great value and excellent space for a place close to the beach in Puerto. As budget travelers, we appreciated the value, and the location. The space itself has everything we needed, was close to shops (and a fully stocked supermarket Chedraui). It’s close to the beach, felt very safe and secure, and had a beautiful outdoor space where we could enjoy meals both in the sun and shade. Miranda was a great host and even popped by for a nice visit and chat. We hope to return in the future! – Robin
You get keys in a mailbox to let yourself in. Miranda was actually there to greet us. The kitchen had all amenities. There is a table and 2 chairs outside your door that we sometimes took in when the little bugs came out after the sun wen in. You will also get excellent responses from Miranda. – Janine
The bed is the most comfortable Airbnb bed we have ever slept on! It’s simple but sparkling clean, has everything you need, and has a very private outside space. We would go back for sure. – Leigh
One couldn’t ask for a better host than Miranda—thoughtful, clear, communicative, kind, obviously enjoys hosting. The place was absolutely perfect for what I was looking for: clean, quiet, relaxed, calm, close to the beach, easy drive to cool local attractions, easily walkable to nice grocery store, close to local dining.
