Our most spacious studio, with a full kitchen, dining table suitable as a working space and private bathroom.
Playa is the Spanish word for beach. In Mayan it would be jáal ja.
We selected this name of this bungalow as we know most of our guests are looking to come to our part of the world in search of a fantastic beach vacation full of sun and warmth.
We are blessed in Puerto Morelos with one of the most beautiful beaches of the region.
Playa is the largest unit and has the largest kitchen.
We have taken the time to look for healthy cooking materials.
All the pots are stainless steel. We have also included a Teflon pan -If you are used to cooking on it.
Please let us know if you need any special equipment for your cooking needs. If it is possible for us, we will be happy to oblige.
We have 4 studio units in 1 spacious lot.
This means a big green area with local trees and plants to breathe and relax during your vacation.
Each unit has its designated outdoor area.
Playa has the space just outside the door with its table and palapa shade.
We ask that each guest respect the designated private outdoor area of other visitors.
We are located 2 blocks south from the central town park and all the local restaurants, 1 block away from a big supermarket for groceries and 1 street off the beach on the quiet side of town: fantastic location (less touristy but still only 5 minutes away from the center of action).
All the units are clean, efficient and newly renovated.
My husband, as an architect, designed every detail to make it functional and cozy.
There are few places in Puerto with this much outdoor garden area to enjoy and that is what we wanted for every guest staying in Aldea Bek, to be able to enjoy nature as well as all the amenities we have to offer.
There is parking at the entrance of the property and there is a taxi station 100 meters away from the door.
We have lived in the vicinity since 2002 and love to share our town and the area with travelers, so we will be in contact with you every step of the way, we live fairly close to Aldea, so any inquiry you have just send us a message!
In Playa, you’ll have access to your private suite with all the amenities described below as well as the shared garden areas in the middle of the property.

We know traveling and airport schedules can be unpredictable sometimes, that is why we will provide all the instructions for check in and we will be there once you get there to provide with all the information you need.
Contactless check in can also be arranged if you prefer.
You can park comfortably at the entrance of our property outside our gate.
We do not provide private parking inside the property.
Aldea Bek – Playa includes one shift of full cleaning for guests that stay 14 nights or longer, in this shift your sheets and towels will be cleaned.
Sheets, towels and blankets are provided at check-in.
Guests manage their own personal laundry service (there are laundry shops super close).
Guests have to take out their own trash when needed, our blue cans are located just beside the gate.

You can book your stay online on our website, credit card payment, no commissions, easy!
Cash payments or Bank Transfers are also accepted. If the payment is in mexican pesos please ask about the current conversion rate.
Paypal payments have an extra 6% that will be added to the final rate of your stay.
For any online refund a 4 to 7% commission applies plus currency conversion differences between the date of reservation and the date the refund is being made.
Hello! My name is Miranda. I’m a Mexican Canadian who has been living off the grid in Puerto Morelos for the last 20 years. Like you, I love to travel. I've been to places as diverse as Papua New Guinea, Europe, Brazil, Saint Martin & all over Mexico. I have 2 kids and I am a widow to Antonio, the architect who gave life to Aldea Bek. For the last 15 years, I've worked assisting couples to achieve natural birth as a doula and health researcher. I even presented at TEDxCancun in 2015. Health maintenance and illness prevention are my twin passions. Since 2016 I assist people with their health challenges with a focus on creating healthy habits that lead to a long health span. I hope to meet interesting people who also like to travel and grow, making the world a smaller place to live.

This was our second stay at In Miranda’s very quiet Complex, both apartments were very comfortable, this one being larger with having the dining table inside Rather than out as in ‘The Luna’. Thank you for a lovely holiday. – Paul
Miranda’s place is accurately depicted in the photos. The location is a convenient and safe one. The access to the beach and town is easy and walk able. You don’t need a cab to get around . She is responsive and accommodating. The accommodation is quiet,clean and peaceful. – Orest
THE SPACE:
Sparkling clean, extremely comfortable bed, A/C, kitchen, dining table. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. There was coffee, drinking water, tea, full kitchen set for cooking, beach towels, etc.. The list goes on. Believe me, you are getting a STEAL.
The property itself is tucked away from noise and private. The landscaping makes you feel like you’re in paradise (because you are).
THE LOCATION:
It is literally 1 block away from the beach and located within the ‘heart’ area of Puerto Morelos. Everything is within walking distance and it is a great spot for both travelers who are looking to be active and “in the scene” as well as those seeking a more laid back experience. The property is extremely safe and neighbors are amazing too.
THE HOST:
I have stayed in many AirBNB’s but Miranda was the best host I have ever met. Very easy to communicate with, quick to respond, knowledgeable about the area, and just an overall wonderful person.
